PURPOSE: A learning method for a semi skip shift of a fifth gear automatic transmission of a vehicle is provided to improve response property for changing speed by changing speed to four speed and three or two speed at the same time when a skip shift is operated from five speed to the three or the two speed. CONSTITUTION: An order to change speed during traveling on five speed is ordered. A skip shift signal from five speed to three or two speed is decided during power is turned on(S100). A learning condition is decided to be satisfied or not(S110). Present amount of learning is decided whether within an upper limit. Starting time for speed changing of a main shifting part and staring time for mechanical shift are compared with an upper limit and a lower limit for learning target time(S120). Therein, four cases are divided and amount of learning is decided. Thereby, holding time for speed changing is reduced by controlling the main shifting part and a minor shifting part when a skip shift is operated from five speed to two or three speed.
