<p>Determination of the anaerobic degradability of organic substances by subjecting the substance to a degradation sequence in a sealed heat-stable vessel and measuring the pH, redox potential, temperature and gas pressure as a function of time. Process for determining the anaerobic degradability of organic substances comprises subjecting an amount of the organic substance to a degradation sequence of hydrolysis, acidification, acetogenesis, methanogenesis or a combination of at least two of these processing steps in a sealed heat-stable vessel and during the aerobic degradation measuring the time, the pH, the redox potential and the temperature of the organic substance and the gas pressure in the sealed heat-stable vessel.</p> |
