FIELD: powder materials. SUBSTANCE: aqueous solution of metal compound, e.g. tin tetrachloride, is mixed with anionic surfactant, e.g. NaO3SCH(COOC8H17)CH2COOC8H17. When metal compound is alkoxide, surfactant is a neutral compound, e.g. polyethylene oxide, polypropylene oxide, or hexadecylamine. Resulting gelated solution is kept for 24 h, after which upper transparent phase is poured off and replaced with more than once deionized water, whereas lower part is filtered. Precipitate is dried and calcined at temperature high enough to remove surfactant, for instance at 800 C. thus obtained tin oxide powder is characterized by particle size no larger than 26 nm. Invention can be, in particular, applied in manufacture of abrasives, catalysts, computer and TV display coatings, ceramics, semiconductor devices, etc. EFFECT: facilitated procedure and reduced expenses. 9 cl, 7 dwg, 2 tbl, 5 ex |
