PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser printer whose assembly work can be simplified when mounting a separating pawl on the laser printer. SOLUTION: In the laser printer, the separating pawl 50 includes a tapered projected part 8 for preventing the coming off of a spring member 9 from the shaft part 7 of the separating pawl 50, and a heating roller cover 3 includes a rib 5 for positioning the spring member 9 and a rib 6 for fixing turnably the separating pawl 50, wherein the rib 6 has a pair of chamfers 6a. In the state where the coming off of the spring member 9 from the shaft part 7 of the separating pawl 50 is prevented by the tapered projected part 8, the separating pawl 50 is inserted into the pair of ribs 6 for fixation. Thereby, the separating pawl 50 is turnably fixed to the heating roller cover 3. The tapered projected part 8 of the separating pawl 50 and the rib 5 for positioning the heating roller cover 3 position the spring member 9 at a prescribed position of the heating roller cover 3.
