PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain communication quality when an external antenna specialized for a specific band is connected to a communication terminal which can communicate with a plurality of frequency bands, and to simplify process in the communication terminal for reduced power consumption. SOLUTION: When an external antenna specialized for a specific band is connected to a communication terminal which can communicate with a plurality of frequency bands, the communication terminal reports the frequency band with which the external antenna copes as a frequency band that the terminal can use to a network side.
