PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a call system employing a VoIP (voice over IP) adapter, compatible with xDSL (x Digital Subscriber Line) which enables VoIP calls, even to opposite party whose IP address is not fixed. SOLUTION: If the IP address of a receiving side is not fixed, data including an IP address and a calling telephone number are transmitted by a PB signal from the VoIP adapter, compatible with xDSL at the transmitter side to a receiver side via a telephone network 23. A VoIP adapter, compatible with xDSL at the receiver side which has received this, transmits the IP address of the adapter to the transmitter side by xDSL, and in this way, a VoIP call by xDSL is conducted.
