PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driver (e.g. a power window driver in a vehicle) in which a fail-safe function against such an abnormality as a motor 2 operates freely is realized at a low cost, and a fail state where the fail-safe function operates is released automatically when an abnormality is released. SOLUTION: When an abnormality detection signal is inputted to a CPU 11a and the CPU 11a detects an abnormality, a fail state where conduction control of two relay coils 15 and 16 is the drive circuit 14 of a motor 2 is performed forcibly is brought about in order to stop the motor 2 forcibly by operating both relay coils. After the fail state is brought about, the forced conduction control is interrupted temporarily as required and a decision is made whether the abnormality is present or not. If the abnormality is not detected, fail reset control for releasing the fail state is executed (steps S1-S5). |
