DEVICE AND PROGRAM FOR CONVERTING PITCH OF SOUND WAVEFORM SIGNAL TO PITCH CLASS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which converts the pitch of a sound waveform signal into a pitch class so that settings of scale conditions of the pitch can intuitively be understood. SOLUTION: A pitch detection part 1 detects the pitch of the sound waveform signal. A scale condition setting part 2 sets one of a 12-tone scale, key scale priority, and a key scale as a scale condition for rounding the pitch of the sound waveform signal into the pitch class of a scale constitution sound. A pitch class output part 3 rounds the pitch of the sound waveform signal according to the set scale condition to output the pitch class as the scale constitution sound. A display image generation part 4 uses such an image that the style of black keys is changed from the normal style among normal keyboard display images having white keys and black keys to generate and visually display an image representing a style on which the set scale condition is reflected on a display unit 5.
