The tree carousel as a child play apparatus comprises a combination of a carousel and a tree protection grid with the rotating movement executed by running wheels in a rail. The carousel ring is composed of several part pieces. The rotary movement occurs in accordance with the principle of a ball bearing. Small running wheels (1) run in a multi-part ring-shaped running rail (2). Running rollers with an outer covering and a foot plate (3) form the upper movable part of the movement mechanism. On the foot plate are fitted holding bars (4), tensioned between upper and lower installation rings (5). The holding bars also form the protective grid of the tree.
