The suction valve assemblies (150) and the discharge valve assemblies (160) are respectively loaded in the suction and discharge passages (132,133) of a cylinder (130) to control the suction and discharge of fluid. The suction and discharge valve assemblies are individually combined to each other to make the movement direction of fluid vertical to the movement direction of the reciprocating motors. The double-side action type reciprocating compressor includes a suction pipe and a discharge pipe which are connected to both sides of a casing (110). The reciprocating motors are installed inside the casing to produce the reciprocating motions (121,122) at opposite directions. The cylinder is loaded on the inner periphery of the casing and separated to the reciprocating motors. Number of pistons (141,142) are slidably inserted into a through hole (131), formed in the cylinder, such that the pistons combine with the magnets (121B,122B) interposed between the slits of the reciprocating motors.
