PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die casting method in a ladle molten metal supplying type die casting machine by which a preliminary shot can effectively be performed without casting an insert metal and the production cost reduction of a product and reuse of the preliminary shot product can easily be obtained. SOLUTION: In the case of casting the die casting product having the insert metal with the ladle molten metal supplying type die casting machine, in which the molten metal 5 in a holding furnace 6 is dipped up with the ladle 7 and supplied into an injection sleeve 4, and the supplied molten metal is injected into a die 1, when the preliminary shot for preheating the die 1 is performed by injecting the molten metal into the die 1 prior to the practical shot for casting the die casting product, the fitting of the insert metal into the die 1 is emitted. Further, an angle of the ladle 7 when the molten metal 5 is dipped up from the holding furnace 6, is changed and the molten metal of the amount corresponding to the volume of the insert metal is excessively dipped up with the ladle 7 and the molten metal is supplied into the injection sleeve 4.
