PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a line pressure in deceleration traveling to the necessary minimum in a power transmission having an engine capable of partial cylinder driving. SOLUTION: This power transmission comprises the engine constituted by having multiple cylinders, a continuously variable transmission CVT variably changing the engine rotation speed, a control valve CV variably setting the line pressure for variable speed control, and an electric control unit ECU calculating an engine output shaft torque when the engine deceleratively travels under the partial cylinder driving state. When a vehicle having this power transmission device deceleratively travels with its engine in the partial cylinder driving state, the control valve CV sets the line pressure according to the calculated output shaft torque of the engine. |
