PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly precisely detect a road while line. SOLUTION: A microcomputer 2 generates an edge image from an image inputted from a camera 1, sets a filter according to the inclination and the concentration value of the white line of in the edge image, and renews it as the filter used for generating the edge image. It also generates a while line model from the while line obtained from the edge image and sets it as a base in setting a white line detecting region. The white line model can be precisely calculated by renewing the edge filter by the inclination and the concentration value of the white line so that the road white line can be precisely detected. |
