PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering control device capable of affording the rotation angle of a steering shaft with high resolution and high accuracy without requiring accuracy for a setting position in the incorporating process of a neutral point sensor. SOLUTION: A calculation means for the rotation angle of the steering shaft is adopted as follows. A count value by a counter means is reset according to the detection result of a neutral point detection means, and an estimated reaction value of the steering shaft is calculated based on a steering torque and a current signal flowing into a motor. When the absolute value of the reaction value of the shaft is in a range where a vehicle is recognized to be in a straight-ahead travel condition, the count value after the reset by the counter means is stored according to the rotation direction of the motor, which is averaged to calculate a neutral point correction value. Thus, the rotation angle of the steering shaft is calculated based on the neutral point correction value and the count value by the counter means. |
