<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humidity sensor capable of restraining condensation accompanied by temperature lowering of exhaust gas and accurately measuring humidity of the exhaust gas of an engine exhaust system. SOLUTION: This humidity sensor 10 is provided with a stainless protector 12 having a cylindrical shape of which tip part is closed and having a letting in and out opening 11 of the exhaust gas from an engine on a side wall thereof, a humidity sensing element 13 stored inside the protector 12 and generating output in accordance with the humidity, a base member 14 having an end surface periphery part to which a rear end part of the protector 12 is mounted, and a column shaped body 15 protruding from an end surface center part of the base member 14 and having a tip part on which the humidity sensing part 13 is mounted. A thin film shaped absorbent 16 including zeolite is provided all over an inner surface of the protector 12 without closing the letting in and out opening 11. The absorbent 16 is formed by coating the inner surface with an absorbent material in form of powders and sintering thereof.</p> |
