PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical scanner capable of easily adjusting the bend of a scanning line without deteriorating the performance of an optical system, and an image forming apparatus using the optical scanner. SOLUTION: This optical scanner is provided with a light source means 1 emitting luminous flux modulated in accordance with an image signal, a light deflector 5 deflecting the luminous flux emitted from the light source means, and an image-formation optical system 17 forming the image as a light spot on a surface to be scanned 9 with the luminous flux deflected by the light deflector 5, and repeatedly scans the surface to be scanned with the light spot. Then, the image-formation optical system is an enlarging system in a subscanning direction being a perpendicular direction to a scanning direction, and the scanner has a plane parallel plate 6 having a rotating mechanism 6b in the case of setting the main scanning direction as an axis in an optical path on a light incident side. |
