PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection device capable of protecting a blast pipe in a power work machine and holding wires arranged along the blast pipe. SOLUTION: This protection device 50 protects the blast pipe 22 in the power work machine 10 and is composed of an annular member 52 fitted in the blast pipe 22 at a desired position of the blast pipe 22, and a recessed part 56 for holding wires 34, 38 is provided in an outer peripheral part of the annular member 52. By attaching this protection device to the desired position of the blast pipe, a peripheral part at the position of the blast pipe is protected from the contact with a ground surface, a wall, a column, etc., by the protection device.
