PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of an electric hot-water heater in which an operating board for operating an electric hot-water heater and an alarm are disposed in the inside of an upper part of a body whose outer surface is sealed with an operating sheet, wherein although alarming sound is generated to the outside of the device, the alarming sound is low so that the alarming effect is insufficient. SOLUTION: An operating board 4 for operating the device and the alarm device 5 are provided in the inside of the upper part of the body whose top surface is sealed with the console panel 3. The alarm device 5 is disposed below the operating board 4, and the space for disposing the alarm device 5 is provided as a large recessed part 2 of the upper part 2 of the body, whereby the alarm sound resonates in the space to be generated as a large alarm sound to the outside of the device.
