PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover plate fitting mechanism for a game machine island by which a cover plate can simply and easily be attached and detached. SOLUTION: In order to fit the cover plate to the upper part of a game machine in the game machine island, a rod is inserted to each of an engaging hole bored at an upper frame for fitting the cover plate and the engaging hole of a hinge arranged at the cover plate to fit the cover plate to the upper part of the game machine island by the cover plate fitting mechanism. Then, a metal fitting in the state of a wire for connecting and engaging the insertion rod projecting from the lower part of the frame and the hinge of the cover plate.
