PURPOSE: A preventing apparatus for sudden acceleration is provided to prevent an accident of sudden acceleration by operating braking of a vehicle when an accelerator pedal is not operated and speed of the vehicle is zero. CONSTITUTION: A preventing apparatus for sudden acceleration includes a braking maintenance and release adjusting part(10); a speed detecting part(20); an acceleration detecting part(30); an operating power connecting part(40) and a braking condition realizing part(50). The braking maintenance and release adjusting part admits a license of operating power to maintain braking condition when an accelerator pedal is not operated and speed of a vehicle is zero. The speed detecting part and the acceleration detecting part license input signals which the accelerator pedal is not operated and speed of the vehicle is zero. The operating power connecting part helps to license the operating power to realize the braking condition. The braking condition realizing part allows the braking condition to a driving shaft by the operating power. Thereby, danger of an accident for sudden acceleration is prevented.
