PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module which is high in performance and low in cost, a manufacturing method for the optical module, and communication equipment. SOLUTION: The optical module is equipped with a high-frequency circuit substrate 12, at least one optical semiconductor device 13 mounted on the high- frequency circuit substrate 12, and an optical waveguide substrate 11 arranged on the high-frequency circuit substrate 12 and is characterized in that the optical waveguide substrate 11 has a 1st substrate having a groove 111 for an optical waveguide and the groove 111 for the optical waveguide is filled with a high- refractive-index material. |
