PURPOSE: A method of controlling a lock-up clutch of a manual transmission is provided to prevent engine stall followed by locking of wheels in suddenly braking on a road with small frictional coefficient. CONSTITUTION: A method of controlling a lock-up clutch of a manual transmission comprises steps of deciding whether an ABS(Anti-lock Brake System) is out of order by reading a signal input from an ABS ECU(Electronic Control System) and a signal input from a brake switch(S100,110); comparing the current vehicle speed with a decision-reference vehicle speed for a special control in case of abnormal of the ABS, if the ABS is out of order(S120,S130); deciding whether a brake works from the brake switch; and outputting and controlling control duty of the lock-up duty in case of abnormal of the ABS(S140,S150). If the ABS is out of order and a brake signal is received when the vehicle speed is under the predetermined vehicle speed, slip of the lock-up clutch is increased by lowering the control duty of the lock-up clutch.
