PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document holder capable of filing or removing a document simply from any of front and rear sides and at a low cost without drop of an index label for displaying a content of a file with good handleability easy to be in a two-page spread state. SOLUTION: The document holder comprises at least two pairs of hanging latch shape parts erected and bent integrally on a base made of a synthetic resin as both front and rear covers by press working, an inserting member inserted between the handing latch shape parts to bind the document. Thus, the document having perforated binding holes can be bound or removed from any of front and rear sides. Further, the holder comprises an index label housing part provided at the peripheral edge of the base and having a cutout formed near a label inserting port to form a label stopping piece for preventing dropping of the index label.
