PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for applying a packaging film to a palletized product, portable and transportable, simple in construction, and economical in manufacture. SOLUTION: A portable plastic film packaging system includes a push cart having a vertical mast member. A film roll carriage movable in a perpendicular direction along the mast member is functionally connected to a balance weight movably disposed inside the mast member. A plurality of holes are provided in the mast member. When coaxially reinforcing packaging is desired to be performed for an article, a releasable stop pin is engageable with specified one of the holes in the mast member so as to fix and hold the film roll carriage at a specified height, and can be removed from the holes so as to allow the film roll carriage to ascend continuously for the spiral packaging of the article.
