Set of durable organic and inorganic hybrid coatings consists of sol-gel solutions of alkoxides and alkyl alkoxides for protection of metal substrates

The set of durable organic and inorganic hybrid coatings comprises, e.g., ceramic coatings obtained from stable suspensions of sol-gel hybrid solutions of alkoxides and alkyl alkoxides catalysed in acid medium. An Independent claim is given for a process for making the coatings. The process involves incorporating 1-40 per cent of ceramic insoluble particles measuring 1-10 microns on metal rough and smooth substrates.
