PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cyclone dust collection device for a vacuum cleaner in which the pressure drop of an air trunk is suppressed, has good dust collecting efficiency and is miniaturized the entire device. SOLUTION: The cyclone dust collecting device is provided with a cylindrical rotation chamber 1 to turn dust and air, an inlet 2 formed in the tangential direction of the rotation chamber 1, an exhaust port 9 provided on the bottom 8 of the rotation chamber 1, a dust collecting chamber 4 provided adjacent to the side 3 of the rotation chamber 1, and a connection hole 5 provided at the side 3 and makes the rotation chamber 1 connect with the dust collecting chamber 4. The inlet 2 and the connection hole 5 are arranged so as to overlap in the direction of the rotary axis of the rotation chamber 1.
