PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic card reader/writer capable of stabilizing the speed of a magnetic card passing through a magnetic head and performing data communication with high reliability. SOLUTION: This magnetic card reader/writer is provided with an upper unit 2, a main body unit 1, conveying belts 6 and 7, driving pulleys 13 and 33, driven pulleys 12a, 12b, 12c, and 33a, magnetic heads 8, 9, and 10, a printing head 20, rollers 11 and 24, and convey-out means 50, 53, and 54. Since the roller 11 facing the magnetic heads 8, 9, and 10 is provided with a pulley 17a meshing with the conveying belt 6 and operated at the same speed as the conveying belts 6 and 7, the speed of the magnetic card 46 passing through the magnetic heads 8, 9, and 10 is stabilized, and data communication can be carried out accurately. |
