ACTIVE MATRIX TYPE DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active matrix type display device having low power consumption. SOLUTION: The device has a plurality of level shift circuits. The device has a power supply control circuit which receives a power supply voltage and prescribed signals and supplies pulse voltages to a certain level shift circuit only in a prescribed interval of the signals. The level shift circuit boosts voltage of a certain signal only in an interval in which the pulse voltages are inputted and therefore, the static power consumption of the level shift circuit is reduced. As a result, power consumption of the active matrix type display device is reduced.
