PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide at low cost a voice synthesizing device which can discriminate attributes of respective documents even if the number of attributes of documents included in document data is large when the contents of the document data (electronic mail) including the documents are outputted as a synthesized voice. SOLUTION: A voice synthesizing device 3 that a telephone set 1 is equipped with outputs documents having different attributes as synthesized voices having a difference in sound image localization by varying the loudness of synthesized voices outputted from a 1st speaker 25 and a 2nd speaker 27 according to the decision result of a document attribute decision part 19. Consequently, even when the contents of electronic mail are outputted with a synthesized voice of a single kind of voice quality, a user is able to decide differences between the attribute of the documents according to a difference in sound image localization. Thus, there is no need of providing a plurality of voice quality data for the voice synthesizing device and an expensive storage of large capacity is not required so that the voice synthesizing device and the information terminal device can be implemented at low cost. |
