FIELD: safety equipment used in vehicles. SUBSTANCE: lock has mutually detachable and receptacle parts adapted to be connected with one another. Detachable part is made in the form of tongue with eyelet for receiving strap and opening in insertable end. Receptacle part has mechanism incorporated in protective casing and comprising U-shaped lock with tooth formed on its front side and adapted for insertion into opening in casing base and in tongue opening. Said mechanism has spring-loaded retainer adapted for blocking said lock and positioned for moving in elongate openings of casing in direction parallel with itself and with casing base under the action of disconnecting button while contacting with surfaces of symmetrical projections on lock sides, and spring-loaded tongue ejector actuated upon displacement of retainer by disconnecting button. U-shaped stopping pendulum is positioned for rotation between casing side walls and has side tabs made in the form of rotating pins arranged in symmetry in additional shaped openings formed in casing walls. EFFECT: simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation and increased efficiency in protecting driver and passengers from impacts. 6 cl, 9 dwg
