PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the loss of driving power of a four-way valve, and to simplify and miniaturize a DC power source. SOLUTION: This air conditioner comprises the four-way valve 18, a first DC power source 14, a first switch 19 for applying the first DC power source to a four-way valve coil, a second DC power source 20, a second switch 21 for applying the second DC power source to the four-way valve coil, and a three-phase inverter 16 for driving a compressor 17, the first switch is turned on only for a predetermined time of several seconds, and then the second switch is continuously turned on to drive the four-way valve, whereby the air condition is provided with the driving sequence where an initial charging period of a boost lap power source 15a and the turning-off of the first switch are not simultaneously generated.
