PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smoke prevention screen capable of being mounted even on a site having a small size in width without being required any auxiliary weight in spite of the electric winding smoke prevention screen and having no strong impact thereon even if it comes into contact with an obstacle. SOLUTION: A driving device of a building opening and shutting body comprises a screen 1 for closing an opening section, a take-up shaft 3 for taking up the screen 1, a non-motor type manual opening and shutting machine 7 and a motor built-in type electric opening and shutting machine 8, and it is so constituted that the take-up shaft 3 is engagedly connected to an output shaft 74 of the manual opening and shutting machine 7 with a chain 9, an input shaft 75 of the manual opening and shutting machine 7 is engagedly connected to an output shaft 85 of the electric opening and shutting machine 8 through a clutch 11 and a chain 12, the lowering of the screen 1 makes the clutch 11 as a releasing state and that the lifting of the screen 1 makes the clutch as a connecting state.
