摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measurement method of an ultrasonic image apparatus that can observe the inside of a specimen with high resolution in flaw detection using a burst transmission signal as a transmission wave. SOLUTION: A transmission/reception system 101 has a pulse oscillator 102 and a burst wave oscillator 103. In an ultrasonic image apparatus, an ultrasonic probe 104 is driven by a pulse signal that is outputted from a pulse oscillator for emitting ultrasonic waves, a reception signal by reflection waves from a specimen 109 is utilized for focusing the inside of the specimen, and then switching is made and a burst wave signal is outputted from the burst wave oscillator for detecting the flaw in the specimen. The continuation time in the burst wave signal is adjusted so that it becomes shorter than an interval X0 between a signal related to surface reflection waves obtained when focusing the inside of the specimen based on the pulse signal and a signal related to an interface reflection wave.
