PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve comfortability by performing deodorization and sterilization of an internal part of the indoor machine of an air conditioner. SOLUTION: When a clean operation signal is received, a panel of an opening closing panel and multipanel part is opened, a vertical air direction plate is set in horizontal direction, a horizontal wind direction plate is set in front direction, and then a compressor for constituting a freezing cycle is operated with 0 code to heat for three minutes (steps ST1 or ST3), the compressor is operated with predetermined code to heat for two minutes (steps ST6 or ST8), and after repeating dry operations for drying the inner part of an indoor unit by combining these heating operations (a step ST5), an indoor fan is stopped (a step ST9) and the panel is closed, the vertical air direction plate is moved to face upward to make the indoor unit be nearly sealed state and an electric dust collection part and a minus ion generation part are controlled to generate ozone (a step ST10). Then, the indoor fan of the indoor unit is operated up to fifteen minutes in reverse rotation (steps 11 or 14) to thoroughly fill the indoor unit with ozone.
