PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shear type crushing apparatus which can secure the stable slide operation of an end cover in replacing integrated type rotary teeth, and reliably improve the attaching and detaching workability of the end cover, and to provide a self-propelled crusher using the same. SOLUTION: The shear type crushing apparatus is provided with a housing main body 9, a rotary shaft 12 provided in the housing main body 9 almost at a horizontal position, a plurality of integrated rotary teeth 13 successively arranged on the rotary shaft 12, an opening 9A provided at one side of the rotary shaft 12 of the housing main body 9 in the axial direction, an end plate 20 provided so as to close the opening 9A, and a link mechanism 21 which attaches one end of the end plate 20 turnably in a horizontal direction and slides the end plate 20 outside the axial direction of the rotary shaft 12.
