PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of parts of a chair capable of supporting a user with weak muscular strength in legs to sit and stand up, manufacturing costs, and the weight of a chair main body. SOLUTION: The chair comprises a rotating shaft 41 provided rotatably along the width direction of a base 1 and driven to rotate in a predetermined direction according to the forward and backward movements of a driving shaft 44, a seat raising arm 46 with one end connected to the rotating shaft and the other end in contact with the lower surface of a seat body 11 for pushing the seat body upward in a rising directing according to the direction of rotation of the rotating shaft, a first foot-side link 54 with one end connected to the rotating shaft, and a second foot-side link 56 in which a long hole is formed along the longitudinal direction, which comprises one end rotatably connected to the back side of a foot placing body, and with which the other end of the first foot-side link 56 is movably engaged along the long hole. In a drive mechanism constituted in such a way that the other end of a second foot placing link is moved along the long hole when the seat body is rotated from a laid state in the rising direction, the number of the foot-side links of the drive mechanism is simplified into the two parts of the first foot-side link and the second foot-side link.
