PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately report the replacing time of a filter medium for removing a specific substance in raw water to a user without raising the cost of an apparatus in the electrolytic water making apparatus equipped with a water cleaner. SOLUTION: The electrolytic water making apparatus is equipped with an electrolytic cell housing a pair of electrodes, a raw water supply means for supplying raw water to the electrolytic cell from an external water supply source, the water cleaner provided to the raw water supply means and having an activated carbon filter for removing at least one kind of a specific substance and a power supply for applying voltage across a pair of the electrodes. Raw water supplied after filtered is electrolyzed in the electrolytic cell to make electrolytic water. Te replacing time of the activated carbon filter of the water cleaner is determined on the basis of the removing capacity (removal amount Ma) for removing the specific substance of the water cleaner, the concentration N1 of residual chlorine in raw water supplied from the external water supply source and the integrated flow rate Ws of raw water passed through the water cleaner.
