METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING PORT STATUS OF KEY TELEPHONE SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for diagnosing a port status of a key telephone system is provided to monitor, diagnosis and then initialize a state of plural private lines and office lines by using a KTS(Key Telephone System) capable of performing an MMC(Man Machine Communication) with a main system. CONSTITUTION: A speech path unit forms a speech path in response to a speech path control signal. A private line subscriber unit(14) and an office line subscriber unit(16) are connected to the speech path unit. The private line subscriber unit(14) is connected to a plurality of private line subscriber terminals(STN1-STN3) and forms a speech path according to a predetermined control through the speech path unit. A control unit(18) operates a system according to respective ports and performs various controls by determining and analyzing states of speech progress. The control unit(18) diagnoses and maintains the system and performs an exchange function of programs and the MMC with the KTS connected to the private subscriber unit(14) of the MMC. A memory(20) stores information on private subscribers and data on a performance of various services. An SMDR(22) outputs a telephone call particulars of terminals(STN1-STN3) to a display device or a printer.
