DEVICE AND METHOD FOR COMMUNICATING IMAGE

PURPOSE: An image communication device and a method thereof are provided to operate simply by automatically deciding output of received image, and to prevent errors of image transmission by controlling transmission of received image according to turning on and off a switch unit. CONSTITUTION: An image communication device is composed of a video input unit(3) receiving image; a video mute control unit(11) automatically deciding output of the received image from the video input unit; and an image output unit outputting the image from the video input unit through wire or wireless communication in deciding output of the image by the video mute control unit. The video mute control unit restricts transmission of image in supplying power in turning off a switch unit(4), and controls image transmission according to turning on and doff the switch unit by a system control unit(7) based on the video mute command of a video mute command unit(8).
