PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily realize a communication method which enables keeping security protection, through the installation of a computer within an intranet utilizing an existing facility constructed over the internet and a communication technology, in constructing inter-system communication by utilizing internet communication. SOLUTION: Communication between applications 5A, 6A is conducted on two computers 5, 6, each of which is installed inside the intranets IntA, IntB, both of which are protected from the internet with firewalls 3, 4. Interfaces (programs) 5B, 6B are stored on the computers 5, 6 as communication tools, inter-system communication is conducted by an e-mail via the interfaces 5B, 6B. The interfaces 5B, 6B are constituted of a mail transmission function, a mail monitor function, an encryption function, a decryption function, a mail decoding function and the like.
