PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digest distribution system capable of generating and distributing information for an individual at an optimum timing in a push type service in which a provider generates and distributes a digest and program relating information for each individual user. SOLUTION: A reception terminal 300 is provided with a setting means for setting preference information of the user regarding program video images and start specifying information specifying a kind of optional program-additional information to a distribution server. The distribution server 200 is provided with a generation/distribution means for deciding whether or not the kind of the input program-additional information matches with the preset start specifying information when the program-additional information is input and generating and distributing the digest on the basis of the preference information and the start specifying information in the case that it matches.
