PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for setting a timbre which saves the time and trouble to change allocation of timbres and makes it possible to easily set and audition a combination for a reproducing method for a sound signal which uses a sound source means capable of reproducing a plurality of parts and a plurality of timbres. SOLUTION: Pieces of timbre data which are previously stored are allocated to a key input means that a terminal device is equipped with and when a combination of timbres of music data is changed, keys are pressed by the respective parts to reproduce and audition the music by using allocated timbres. When a different key is pressed successively, a specified part is reproduced by using the timbre allocated to the different key without stopping the reproduction and a desired timbre when found is registered in a memory means. The timbres set for the respective parts need to be set while their combination is auditioned, so parts having been set are so controlled that they are reproduced always synchronously when a part currently in setting operation is auditioned. |
