PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcasting receiver capable of receiving both television broadcasting and sound broadcasting while suppressing a circuit scale. SOLUTION: An AD converting part 6, a synchronizing part 8 and an FFT part 10 share a circuit by setting a clock speed and an FFT size for television. In receiving sound broadcasting, a TMCC signal is detected by initially receiving a portion of one segment to switch a tuner part 4, a broadband AFT part 12, etc. The tuner part 4 performs switching at a guard interval, the broadband AFT part 12 performs switching at a symbol boundary, and in the TMCC signal, a time needed to start receiving three-segment broadcasting can be shortened by holding a value at which the TMCC signal is decoded with initial, partial reception. |
