PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent any transpiration in the atmosphere of an evaporated fuel generated in an intake system when an engine is stopped. SOLUTION: When an ignition switch is turned OFF, the engine is stopped by stopping the engine (S109), and a determination threshold CNTSET to determine the set time to operate a circulation pump is set based on the cooling water temperature TW and the fuel injection pulse width Ti (S111). The circulation pump is turned ON (S116), and the air containing the evaporated fuel in an intake manifold is forcibly circulated to adsorb the evaporated fuel gas in the intake system to an auxiliary canister. When the operating time of the circulation pump reaches the set time determined by the determination threshold CNTSET (S117), a power source relay is turned OFF (S120) to stop the circulation pump, and the processing is completed. Transpiration in the atmosphere of the evaporated fuel generated in the intake system after the engine is stopped is prevented.
