PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic parking system capable of simplifying the whole structure of the system and storing and retrieving a vehicle in a short time by dispensing with the conventional running truck. SOLUTION: In this automatic parking system, transverse, longitudinal and elevating movement is performed by a pallet only. Pallets 2, 2 are arranged in blocks provided in rows and columns. The system has a transverse, longitudinal and elevating movement block 10 where the pallets 2, 2 can move laterally, longitudinally and vertically, a transverse and longitudinal movement block 9 where the pallets 2, 2 can move laterally and longitudinally, and a longitudinal movement block where the pallets 2, 2 can move longitudinally.
