<p>A method of transmitting data from a transmitter towards a receiver can include forming a plurality of ordered data units each comprising a part of a data message. The method can also include transmitting at least some of the data units in order. The method can further include identifying a discard status in response of the data message. When a subset of the data units including the final one of the data units and at least one other of the data units has not been transmitted, the method can include indicating that the data message is to be discarded, specifying the identity of the final one of the data units, and transmitting only the final one of the data units from the subset.</p> |
