Device comprises: a process unit that enables a defined positioning of a radiation source that sends out a spatially limited beam; a process unit that enables a location and solid angle positioning of a detector that records received beam components; and a homogenous immersion medium between beam source, detector and tissue that is matched to the scattering characteristics and absorption behavior of the tissue being examined.
