PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treating implement for medical treatment, preventing difference in the shape of basket products, excellent in productivity, having a high strength through monolithic molding without carrying out joining such as brazing, and having an excellent foreign matter gripping characteristic. SOLUTION: The treating implement 1 for medical treatment is characterized in that cuts 3 are axially formed in a thin wire or a pipe 10, composed of a nickel titanium alloy, and that a part where these cuts 3 are formed is made into a basket shape. Four straight cuts 3 are axially formed through laser processing at 90 deg. intervals, and four basket wires 21-24 are formed into an arc shape so as to make a basket 2.
