PURPOSE: An apparatus for guiding a caller ID in a mobile communication terminal and a method therefor are provided to easily confirm the caller ID by displaying the caller ID on an LCD and reproducing the caller ID as an audio according to the setup mode of a user when a call signal is received. CONSTITUTION: If a call signal is received(S201), a mobile communication terminal extracts a caller ID included in the received call signal(S202). The mobile communication terminal judges whether the caller ID is included in the call signal(S203). If the caller ID is included in the call signal, the mobile communication terminal extracts the caller ID, and successively stores the extracted caller ID in the first buffer of the second storing unit(S205). The mobile communication terminal judges whether a current mode is an audio reproducing mode(S206). If the current mode is the audio reproducing mode, the mobile communication terminal retrieves a sound source code value corresponding to the caller ID stored in the first buffer from the first storing unit, and reads the sound source value(S208). The mobile communication terminal successively stores the read sound source value corresponding to the caller ID in the second buffer(S209). The mobile communication terminal converts the sound source value into an audio signal, and reproduces the audio signal, and simultaneously displays the caller ID stored in the first buffer on an LCD(S210).
