PURPOSE: A preventing apparatus for fuel wave is provided to move a baffle in opposite direction of fuel wave when a vehicle starts or stops suddenly. CONSTITUTION: A preventing apparatus for fuel wave comprises a power supply device(10); a sensing device(20); an actuator(30) and a driving device(40). Many baffles(2) are installed to a floor of a fuel tank vertically. The power supply device is composed of a battery(11) and a first relay switch(13). The first relay switch supplies output voltage of the battery to the sensing device when a start switch is turned on. The sensing device senses sudden starting or stop of a vehicle. The sensing device outputs voltage from the first relay valve through a first terminal(22) and a second terminal(23) according to a result of sensing. Baffles are moved back and forth by the actuator in opposite direction of fuel wave when the vehicle starts and stops suddenly. The actuator is operated by supplying voltage from the driving device.
